Here in about 7 days, numerous thousands of travelers from all over the world will be embarking onto Davenport IA, for the world renkowned BIX 7 Race named after famous Jazz Artist Bix Beiderbecke. The BIX 7 Race has been held in the Quad Cities since 1975, when it was created by John Hudetz a Bettendorf Resident.

The BIX 7 is a road race that starts in Downtown Davenport and is 7 miles in length and when it first started in 1975 had 84 runners, and has grown now to 12,000 to 18,000 runners currently. With this many people from all over the world every year all the Quad City hotels fill to capacity. If you are looking for over night accomodations during this great fun event, make sure to make your reservations as soon as possible.
